Day 101
I had a lot of exciting photos to choose from today since I was in lovely Twickenham for the first part of the day, then I headed into London and had a nice walk around town. My favorite discovery was the Banqueting House- the only remaining part of the Whitehall Palace which was built by Henry VIII. The most notorious event here is the execution of Charles I in 1649. The paintings on the ceiling are by Rubens. The architecture, art and history of this hall are really extraordinary! I highly recommend a visit (it was only 5£).
